A typical visit will include a postnatal check of mother and assessment of the newborn to monitor for any signs of complications. Feeding will be assessed at each appointment.

You will have time to discuss any concerns and ask any questions in an unhurried way. Time will also be available for support with bathing the baby or teaching other areas of baby care.

In addition to this I am able to support with:

• Regular weight checks for baby

• Jaundice management

• Support with expressing

• Teaching of newborn baby care

• Management of wounds and sutures

• Reflective discussion on the birth

• Support for mothers separated from their babies in the neonatal unit

• Signposting to other local support

• Referrals to other medical professionals where required
